A lot of people in Germany think that Buxtehude is a fictional place, especially those down south and are always quite surprised to find it does actually exist.
Well, to prove to those naysayers Buxtehude isn't just a figment of my imagination, I did my own mini Instawalk in the old town last week.
It was a very cold and miserable day today so I was amazed to see the number of people out and about in the town. My fingers got quite numb from waiting until they'd passed by before I could take my shot. 😀
The top photo is the town hall built in 1911.
The second and third photos are the St. Petri Kirche (St. Peter's) and its door. The church is said to date back to 1285 and was remodelled in 1320. I wasn't able to go inside sadly, as the interior is truly stunning.
