I took this shot of a brooding sky while I was out and about on Anglesey last year. The Welsh coastline is so stunningly beautiful you can't help but be outdoors for as much time as you possibly can.
Look at the little patch of sunlight shining on the sea. Isn't it wonderful? I have no idea why but for some reason it fair gladdens my heart. It's these unexpected moments of sheer beauty, I suppose. The greys and blacks and suddenly the clouds part and the heaven shines down from above.
It really looked as though we were about to have a tremendous downpour, but nary a drop fell. The whole lot just blew over.
That's the beauty of being on the coast, so much bad weather simply passes you by. It moves more inland or further out to sea, it can be totally unpredictable.
Raising our eyes to the heavens can pay untold dividends sometimes, though. And not everything that looks black, is black.
I can just hear that catchy tune in my head: "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life. Dum de dum, de dum de dum de dum." Can't you?
